MUSICAL:
Tickets
for My Fair Lady with dinner at Le
Café Du Jardin
|
|
Lerner and Loewe's multi-award winning musical, My Fair Lady, became one of the greatest successes of the New York and London stages, and paved the way for the hugely popular film version in 1964. Henry Higgins, an opinionated linguistics professor and confirmed bachelor, makes a wager with a colleague that within six months he can transform a cockney flower seller, Eliza Doolittle, into a lady who can take her place in high society. He wins the bet, but doesn't bargain for the profound effect she has on his life. Trevor Nunn directs the show's first revival in London for more than twenty years. Starring Nicholas Le Prevost, Martine McCutcheon, Jonathan Pryce and Mark Umbers.

Le
Café Du Jardin: A buzzing cosmopolitan brasserie
in the midst of London's world-famous theatre district, Le Café du Jardin
offers a fashionable but mixed a combination of hearty bistro dishes with
more subtle oriental-influenced creations. Now basking from its recent expensive
makeover - earthy copper and browns in the bijou ground floor, with light-enhancing
greens and whites in the high-ceilinged and spacious basement - this restaurant
is a firm favourite with Covent Garden regulars and tourists alike. The
pleasant staff and relaxed atmosphere work wonders, as does the impressive
selection of wines housed in a stunning Andy Warhol-style 'wall of wine'
on the ground floor. |
